Our policy comparison feature allows users to compare two or more policies and/or quotes, highlighting coverage discrepancies and matches. Use this workflow to compare policy renewals, coverage options between carriers, and identify form and schedule information.

Steps:

  1. From the dashboard, select the blue Compare Policies button located under “Start a Task”.

  2. Upload the policies you'd like to compare, or select files already in Coverflow by clicking My Uploads. Once you’re done, click Continue.

    1. Note: You must select 2 or more policies to click Continue.

  3. Enter a name for your comparison, and click Continue. We recommend including the Named Insured.

  4. If you uploaded new policies in the first step, you will be asked to select coverage lines. Select the coverage line(s) that correspond to the document you're analyzing and click Analyze.

    1. Note: If you are using existing files, then the coverage line information is saved from the initial file upload.

  5. Your Comparison is now generating. You may leave this page, run concurrent tasks, or exit the platform while we process your Comparison. We'll also send you an email notification when it’s ready.

Once your comparison is completed and you're ready to view your results:

  1. Select the comparison you'd like to review from the Completed Tasks section at the bottom of the Dashboard or the My Files page via the left sidebar.

    1. We also emailed you a link to the Comparison when it finished generating.

  2. Navigate through the comparison results in the preview on the right side of the screen. Your comparison features:

    • A preview of your Excel output

    • Policy Matches (highlighted in green)

    • Policy Discrepancies (highlighted in red)

    • Partial Matches (highlighted in yellow)

    • Analysis highlights which display the page where the information was extracted.

  3. On the left side of the page, you can use our AI Assistant to pose questions, generate client-ready emails and documents, and make edits to your comparison before exporting your file.

  4. When you're ready, you may can export the excel file by clicking Download Excel in the top right corner.
